About Rhoda

Hi, I’m Rhoda, a warm, friendly and easy-going person from Uganda. I enjoy meeting new people, learning about different cultures and having conversations with people from different parts of the world.

I would love to teach English because I enjoy helping people feel comfortable when they communicate. I know that sometimes you can understand a language but still feel shy or nervous when it’s time to speak. I want to create a space where you can practise without feeling judged.

For me, teaching is not only about English. It’s also about connecting with people, sharing experiences and learning from each other. I’d be happy to be part of your journey as you become more confident in speaking English.

My lessons are simple, relaxed and all about getting you comfortable speaking English.

I don’t want our lessons to feel like you’re sitting in a classroom being tested. Instead, we’ll have normal conversations about things you actually enjoy—your day, family, travel, hobbies, work, food, culture, or anything else that interests you.

As we talk, I’ll help you with words you may not know, pronunciation and sentences that could sound more natural. If you make a mistake, that’s completely okay. I’ll correct you kindly and explain it in a simple way.

You’ll have plenty of time to speak because I believe the more you practise, the more confident you become.

My goal is for you to finish each lesson feeling like, “I actually enjoyed that, and I learned something too.”
