About Dennis

I'm a dedicated English tutor with a passion for helping learners of all ages improve their communication skills and confidence in the language.

Whether you're just starting, preparing for an exam, or looking to polish your writing and speaking skills, I tailor each lesson to your goals and learning style. My approach is supportive, practical, and focused on real-world usage, so you can feel comfortable using English in everyday situations, at school, or at work. I believe that language learning should be engaging and empowering, and I'm here to guide you every step of the way.

I especially enjoy helping learners who may have struggled with English in the past and need someone who is willing to slow down, explain things differently, and find an approach that works for them.

About the lesson

Each lesson is personalized to fit your goals, whether you're learning English for school, work, travel, or everyday conversation.

Every lesson is built around your goals and your current level of English.

We’ll focus on building your skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing, with a strong emphasis on practical communication and real-life usage. Lessons include interactive activities, vocabulary building, grammar practice, and conversation exercises to help you speak more naturally and confidently.

Depending on your needs, lessons can include:
Reading & comprehension: We'll work through passages together and develop strategies for understanding what you're reading.
Writing & grammar: I'll help you improve sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, vocabulary, and overall clarity.
Conversational English: For learners who want to become more comfortable speaking, we'll practice real-world conversations and build vocabulary and confidence.
Vocabulary & spelling: We'll develop practical vocabulary and strategies for remembering new words.
Test preparation: We'll identify the skills you need to improve and work through targeted practice.

I won't simply give you the answer. I'll help you understand why something works so that you can use the skill independently in the future.

Lessons are available online, and I'm happy to work with elementary students, teenagers, and adults.
