About Akhil
I was certified by the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram in India. Yoga has been a part of my life since my childhood. I started giving yoga lessons full time from 2016 onwards. Since then I have worked as a studio director and Yoga teacher at Zorba - A renaissance Studio, in Bangalore India which is the largest Yoga studio chain in India. I have also been teaching privately. Since coming to the UK, I regularly give classes in and around London and also provide 1 to 1 private lessons. Me and my wife (who is also a yoga teacher) run a small Yoga studio called Energy Yoga in St Paul's Central London where we teach daily classes on weekdays. We have also conducted yoga workshops in various festivals in the UK. We also organise Yoga retreats in India. I am also a massage therapist and I sometimes use therapeutic aspect of massage in my teaching as well. They work very well together enabling you to go deeper into the practice.

I teach traditional Hatha yoga and Sivananda yoga. I am an easy to get along with person with an affinity towards adventures and nature. My teaching style is simple and designed to amplify the potential in every individual. I believe in steady learning process. A strong understanding on the basics of Yoga is the key to get best out of your practice. I focus on alignment and breathing techniques to perfect the postures safely. Knowing your body and pushing it the right amount is very important and also helps you to enjoy your practice without hurting yourself. |Looking forward to sharing with you all. Namaste

Akhil is a wonderful Yoga teacher. Not only is he profound and knowledgeable about Yoga philosophy but he is also highly body literate and has been so helpful with injuries I have suffered from. That's probably because he is also a masseuse so he really understands the body. He's very kind and empathetic and he communicates as well as in person as he does online.

Details
A block of 5 classes is £190 at £38/session. A block of 10 is £370 at £37/session. Every session is a minimum of 1hr and I am happy to make it up to 1hr 15mins depending on the availability.
