About Daniel
I'm a passionate educator combining teaching expertise with six years of mobile software development experience. This unique background allows me to make maths and English engaging by connecting classroom concepts to real-world applications in technology and everyday life. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to suit individual needs. My goal is building both confidence and competence, helping students not just pass exams but develop genuine problem-solving skills and curiosity. Patient, creative, and results-focused, I'm committed to making learning accessible and showing students how these fundamental subjects open doors to future opportunities.

My Teaching Approach I combine traditional teaching expertise with modern technology insights to make learning engaging and relevant. Having taught maths and English while working as a mobile software developer for six years, I bring real-world applications into every lesson, showing students how these subjects connect to the digital world they navigate daily. My Methodology I use a personalised, student-centred approach that adapts to individual learning styles. For maths, I focus on building conceptual understanding before procedural fluency, using practical examples and digital tools where appropriate. In English, I emphasise critical thinking, creative expression, and communication skills that serve students beyond the classroom. Lesson Structure Sessions typically last 60 minutes and include a brief review, new concept introduction with interactive examples, guided practice, and independent work. I provide clear explanations, encourage questions, and ensure students leave each session with confidence and actionable homework. My Qualifications Qualified teacher with classroom experience in maths and English 6 years as a mobile software developer, bringing technical expertise to STEM subjects Experience working with secondary school students and GCSE/A-Level preparation Who I Teach I specialise in KS3-KS4 students (ages 11-16) preparing for GCSEs in maths and English, as well as students interested in computing or coding who want to strengthen their mathematical foundations.
