About Grayson

Hi, I'm Grayson! I'm an Emory graduate with experience in tutoring, teaching, and education. As an English tutor with Ringle, I worked one-on-one with students of all ages, designing personalized lesson plans around each student's goals and giving regular feedback on their progress. I've also taught middle school history, where I was nominated for Teacher of the Year and saw my students' test scores improve. Whether the focus is reading, grammar, essay writing, or resume prep, I meet my students where they are and build their confidence along the way. I'm patient, reliable, and committed to helping every student feel capable and prepared.

About the lesson

I build lessons around each student's goals and current skill level. At Ringle, I designed personalized plans for every student, and in my classroom I created my own presentations, activities, and projects rather than relying only on provided materials. I'd start by assessing reading, writing, and grammar, then set clear, measurable targets. Literacy lessons would pair close reading with discussion, grammar would be taught through the student's own writing, and essay work would move from outlining to drafting to revision. For resume prep, we'd tailor each document to a real job goal and practice talking about that experience. As I did as a teacher and tutor, I'd adapt pacing and activities based on student feedback and results, slowing down where a concept isn't landing and moving ahead when a student is ready. I'd give regular, specific feedback so progress stays visible.
