In my tutoring sessions, I take a practical and student-centered approach to ensure effective learning. Here's an overview of my techniques and teaching methodology:

Teaching Methodology: I believe that independent reading and understanding of the material are crucial for effective learning. Therefore, I encourage students to go through the assigned material before our lesson. During the session, we will review the content to ensure complete comprehension, and then proceed to practice different types of exam-style questions. This approach helps solidify understanding and develop critical thinking skills.

Techniques: I utilize a combination of explanation, demonstration, and active engagement. I provide clear explanations of concepts and use examples to illustrate them. I encourage students to ask questions and participate actively in discussions. Additionally, I offer guidance on effective study techniques and resource utilization to establish a study routine for long-term retention of the material.

Lesson Length: My tutoring sessions typically last for 1 hour. This duration allows us to delve into the subject matter thoroughly while maintaining focus and engagement.

Qualifications/Experience: I hold a degree in History from the University of Warwick and have extensive academic achievements, including 9 A*s and 1 A at GCSE and A*AA at A-levels in History, Maths, and Chemistry. Furthermore, I have 8 years of experience tutoring in various subjects, including GCSE Maths, History, English, and all Sciences. I am also well-equipped to provide guidance on 11+ preparation, UCAS applications, CVs, and general career advice.

Target Audience: My lessons are suitable for students at the GCSE level and those seeking support for 11+ exams. Additionally, I can assist with UCAS applications and offer career advice to individuals of various ages. My expertise lies in subjects such as Maths, History, English, and Sciences.

By implementing a practical and student-focused approach, I aim to enhance understanding, critical thinking, and overall academic success for my students.
