About Colette
I have recently graduated from Stellenbosch University, and have achieved my degree cum laude. I have been an English and Mathematics tutor for many years - even when I was in high school myself. Since then, I have tutored University students in politics and economics, and have been a volunteer English and sustainability tutor at underprivileged schools. I have helped students achieve significant improvements in their test and exam results (usually around 10% increase after a month of tutoring), and find students engaging and enjoying the subject matter more.

I like for my English students to engage with me during our time together- to ask questions, to explore the subject matter and to reach out to me regarding the work they find personally tricky or tough. I also find that my students demonstrate greater confidence in writing essays or answering literature questions after we do a few practice rounds together. I do believe in giving students some tasks to do at home, so we can review and improve their work collaboratively.
