About Sibonise

Hello! My name is Sibonise Maya, and I’m from the Eastern Cape, South Africa.

I am currently studying English Literature and Drama at Rhodes University, and I am passionate about English and helping learners become more confident in communication.

I have experience teaching English online on Native Camp. I helped learners with speaking, pronunciation, reading, writing, spelling and homework.

I have also tutored primary and secondary school learners, which taught me to be patient and understand that every learner has different needs.

At Rhodes University, I worked as a first-year student mentor, and I also received a certificate of participation in the Service-Learning course “Conversations About Life.”

In my lessons, I like to make learning interactive through conversations, questions, pictures, games and activities. I want my learners to participate, practise and feel comfortable making mistakes.

My goal is to make English learning enjoyable while helping every learner grow in confidence. Thank you!

About the lesson

I offer patient, interactive English lessons tailored to each learner's goals. Fluent in English and isiXhosa, I teach reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, and conversation skills. My lessons are supportive and engaging, helping beginners, school learners, and adults build confidence and improve communication.
