About Sanya

I’m passionate about learning and helping others discover their own potential. My academic journey has taken me across the country, where I’ve challenged myself in rigorous programs at the Air Force, Naval, and other U.S. service academies. Those experiences taught me discipline, adaptability, and how to think critically under pressure—all skills I bring into my tutoring. Beyond academics, I value patience and encouragement. I know that every student learns differently, and I take pride in creating a space where they feel supported and confident to ask questions and make mistakes. Watching students move from uncertainty to understanding is what motivates me most. Outside of tutoring, I love research and exploring how science connects to real life. My goal is not only to help students excel in school but also to inspire curiosity and confidence that extend far beyond the classroom.

About the lesson

I have participated in academic competitions across the United States and earned awards for outstanding academic performance at both the Air Force and Naval Academies. My experience in diverse and challenging environments has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching style to different learning needs.
As a tutor, I focus on building understanding rather than memorization. I begin each lesson by identifying what the student already knows, then tailor my explanations to fill in gaps through guided questions, examples, and visual aids. My lessons typically start with a short review, followed by step-by-step instruction, hands-on practice, and reflection to reinforce retention.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect complex concepts to real-world examples drawn from my experiences in STEM programs and research. I encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving rather than rote learning.
My lessons are best suited for middle school to high school students—especially those preparing for advanced STEM coursework, academic competitions, or college-level studies. I aim to not only help students master the material but also build confidence and genuine enthusiasm for learning.
