About Pauline

Hello! My name is Pauline, I’m 26 years old, and I currently live in Nairobi, Kenya, where I work for an international NGO in conflict resolution and peacebuilding. I was eleven when I moved away from my home country and realised how overwhelming and fascinating the world is, how different people are, and how much there is to learn. It taught me adaptability, resilience, and, most importantly, open-mindedness. From that moment on, I knew I wanted to explore as much as possible—not just places, but ideas, perspectives, and the complexities of human nature. Since then, I’ve lived in six countries, and each move has been a chapter of growth. With every transition, I’ve learned practical skills—how to make new friends, find the best baguette in town, rent a flat and pay taxes abroad. But beyond that, I’ve discovered what truly fuels me. Stepping outside my comfort zone makes me feel alive, and learning—about the world, about people, about myself—has become my greatest passion. One of the most profound lessons I’ve taken from these experiences is that no matter where we come from, our struggles are often the same. Doubts, fears, insecurities—they don’t recognise borders. And if the challenges we face are universal, then so are the ways we can navigate them. When COVID hit in 2020, I was working as a personal tutor with four teenagers who were suddenly stuck inside, dealing with isolation, anxiety, and uncertainty about the future. Our sessions shifted—they became less about school and more about everything else. We weren’t just working through coursework; we were working through fears, identity struggles, and the weight of an unpredictable world. I naturally shifted into more of a mentor and coach, and that’s when it clicked—this is what I’m good at. Helping people see what they might not see in themselves, guiding them through tough moments, and pushing them to trust their own judgement. This curiosity about human behaviour, emotions, and personal growth has driven me for years. I’ve immersed myself in alternative therapies like sophrology and kinesiology, and personal development, constantly reading, researching, and engaging in deep conversations about why we are the way we are. Simultaneously, my career led me into the world of peace building, mediation, and conflict resolution—fields centred on understanding different perspectives, fostering dialogue, and helping people find common ground. I became fascinated by what allows people to truly listen to one another, how transformation happens, and what it takes to move through uncertainty with clarity and confidence. I know what it feels like to be lost—to be stuck in uncertainty, weighed down by expectations, or afraid of making the "wrong" choice. I also know what it’s like to be in transition—whether that’s figuring out your next career move, adapting to life in a new country, or feeling disconnected without knowing why. I know the push and pull between freedom and stability, the pressure to “have it all figured out,” and the struggle to find fulfilment in a world that’s constantly shifting. But I also know what it feels like to find clarity and alignment, to trust yourself, to build a life that feels like yours. That’s why I do this. Because I’ve been there. And I’ve learned that you don’t have to figure it all out alone.

There’s something in you that makes you feel alive—something that excites you, that gives you a sense of purpose, that makes life feel like more than just going through the motions. Maybe you’ve already felt it before, or maybe you’re still searching. Maybe it’s something big and bold, or maybe it’s something quiet but deeply meaningful. Whatever it is, I want to help you find it, trust it, and actually live it. Because life isn’t just about existing—it’s about feeling good in your own skin, trusting yourself, and building a life that actually feels like yours. We all go through phases where we feel lost, stuck, or unsure of what comes next. That’s why I don’t just focus on helping you reach for your goals and dreams—I also help you cope, adapt, and move through life with confidence and trust in yourself. At the end of the day, I want you to feel like you’ve got your own back—no matter what. What is coaching, and how does it help? Coaching is about helping you feel more confident, handle stress better, and figure out what you want—without pressure or judgement. It’s not therapy, advice, or homework. It’s a space to talk, reflect, and get practical tools to navigate life in a way that feels right for you. How do sessions work? We talk—sometimes about big things, sometimes about small things. Together, we break down challenges and build strategies that actually work. It’s a mix of conversation, reflection, and practical tools to help you move forward. Is this like therapy? No. Coaching is about growth, confidence, and action, not diagnosing or treating mental health conditions. If you’re feeling really overwhelmed, therapy might be a better fit. Coaching is for when you’re ready to gain clarity, make decisions, and feel more in control of your life. What if I don’t know what I need? That’s okay! You don’t have to have it all figured out. Coaching helps you make sense of what’s going on and find the next step that feels right for you.
