I enjoy working with children and teaching them valuable life skills, such as reading. I’ve been teaching for several years and recently have transitioned into being a content specialist and instructional coach, to help teachers across my district hone their craft and deliver powerful, effective instruction to all their students.

I teach reading comprehension through structured literacy reading approaches grounded in Orton-Gillingham and the science of reading strategies. By building a strong foundation in basic reading skills and oral reading fluency, I am able to help students improve their comprehension of what they read. This helps build a foundation for success across multiple academic and non-academic areas, as well as building a foundation for life beyond the classroom.
