About Jamie

I'm originally from the UK, I studied Maths, Further Maths and Economics for A level and I'm now in my second year at Mcgill studying Maths and Computer Science. Honestly, I prefer Maths. I used to teach my brother when he began his A-levels and I really enjoyed it. I'm quite flexible with time especially over the new few months and would love to help out in any way I can.

About the lesson

I try to teach maths empathetically, try and understand your thought process and address your way of thinking with problems that will improve the logic necessary for understanding any given topic. I also like to merge ideas of topics to demonstrate how different areas of maths can work together. I’m hoping to use a platform where we can use a whiteboard and write at the same time for problems and solutions, I’m also more than happy to go through your own problems and solutions.

I first heard about Jamie from a friend who had been previously tutored by him, I contacted Jamie worried and needing help for my final. He was very patient, taking the time to explain any queries I may have had. After his help, my average in that class jumped from 65% to 80%! I would definitely recommend Jamie to anyone struggling with their maths and looking for a tutor.
