About Yeong

Hi! I’m Yeong Ka Man, a 20-year-old wannabe English tutor with a passion for speaking, debating, and helping others find their voice.

I’ve spent years involved in public speaking and competitive debating, which has taught me how powerful clear and confident communication can be.

Along the way, I also achieved Band 5 in MUET, which I believe reflects a strong level of English proficiency. But more importantly, I love helping people move from “I’m shy to speak” to “I can actually say what I think.”

My teaching style is friendly, relaxed, and interactive. I believe learning English shouldn’t feel stressful or boring. Instead of just memorizing complicated and very very complex grammar, we focus on real communication like speaking clearly and learning how to present thoughts in a way that people understand.

I’m patient (I believe so) and most definitely always happy to help students improve at their own pace. Whether you want to do better in exams, speak more confidently in class, or simply become more comfortable using English, I’ll be here to guide you along the way.

About the lesson

My tutoring focuses on helping students feel comfortable using English while also improving their skills step by step. I believe students learn best when they are actively involved, so my lessons are very interactive. Instead of just memorizing grammar rules, we will practice through conversations, short presentations, and sometimes debate-style activities to help build confidence in speaking.

A typical lesson lasts about 1 to 1.5 hours. We usually start with a short casual conversation to warm up, then move on to specific areas such as speaking fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation, or how to organise ideas clearly when speaking or presenting. I always give feedback during the lesson so students know what they are doing well and what they can improve.

I have experience as a public speaker and competitive debater, which has helped me develop strong communication skills. I also achieved Band 5 for MUET, which reflects a strong level of English proficiency. Because of this background, I focus not just on correct English, but I also am keen on helping students speak clearly and confidently.

My lessons are mainly for secondary school students, especially those preparing for MUET or school presentations. I also welcome students who simply want to become more confident when speaking English.
