About Marta
Hi students! I am a bilingual English speaker. I love to work with kids and of course share my knowledge with those in need. I was adopted when I was 11. I did not speak any English whatsoever, but I quickly learned through movies, music and mostly a tutor who my parents hired to help me learn English fast. It was not just sitting at a table reading or writing. It was also fun stories she shared with me, and the way she taught me which was by images, flash cards coming up with my own song and or poems. She challenged me constantly. We worked at a good pace that was good for me. And that is what intend to do with my students. I want you all to enjoy learning! I want to see you excited for class! This will be my first time tutoring but I have no doubts that I will do for my students what was done for me which is the motivation to be better and have the proper knowledge for the English language. I love working with kids! most of my experience comes from being a full time nanny, going to nanny school and becoming a professional. I would constantly teach and challenge the kids I took care of. I believe I have what it takes to be a great roll model for my students and to be patient with each and every one of you! Can't wait to become your teacher!

My teaching strategies depend on the grade level, topic and the speed that works best for all my students. I am experienced mostly in teaching kids. I can teach basic English, vocabulary to anyone trying to learn English. In general, I am a very patient and optimistic person. I believe in teaching my students in a way that works best for them so they don't start to yawn and fall asleep . I will make sure that everything I teach them is useful, challenging and prepares them for the tests as well as achieving a language for life. I am a visual learner and I would love to teach kids English through images, visuals and writing the words/ sentences out. I would start off each lesson with a broad overview. Go over the previous lesson to see what we learned before moving on to the next. If my strategies don't work I can always come up with what works best for my students by communicating with them. I believe in second and third chances, I want my students to fail in order to succeed if needed.

i prefer to teach online only. If i have to go to a student within 5-10 miles away then i will charge them 25$ per hour. If you have a low budget, we can work with it!
