About Alex
My name is Alex and I'm 32 years old!
I have recently left the United Kingdom to travel, so I have turned my repertoire of skills to freelance teaching!
My teaching experience began after I left the military in 2016.
I became a personal trainer/fitness coach and spent many years enjoying the success of working a busy schedule in many sports and recreational venues around London.
During the pandemic I turned my skills towards online freelance teaching and have since built a large portfolio of online clients and gained a vast amount of experience in different areas of teaching.
I became a language tutor with TEFL last year and have worked with students from all over the world, of various nationalities and experience levels.
I started playing the guitar as a child and it has been something that I've refined through constant practice and rehearsal over the past 20+ years. Music is truly an obsession for me and a pleasure to teach and see others enjoy. I have taught children in the past and performed on numerous local stages.

My approach to teaching is firstly to establish a friendly connection with my clients. I like to ask questions to find out how I can best support their learning goals.
I always aim to simplify everything I teach, explaining everything with a clear and direct voice to ensure that information is retained and memorised.
My lessons typically last one hour, but can be shorter or longer as requested.
I am qualified to teach English as a foreign language (TEFL) and have over 500 hours experience as a private language tutor.
With regards to teaching the guitar, I have played for over 20 years and studied many different styles of music. This constant pursuit for learning and playing has shaped me into a versatile musician that can quickly adapt to the needs of a beginner or more experienced player.
My lessons are for children, adults, beginners and the more experienced. I am confident that I can benefit your studies regardless of age or level of experience!
