Teaching Method and Techniques I believe in interactive, student-centered learning, where lessons are engaging, creative, and tailored to each child’s needs. My approach focuses on: Phonics and Reading Fluency – Using phonics-based instruction and sight words to build strong reading skills. Comprehension Strategies – Encouraging active reading with discussions, visual aids, and storytelling. Grammar and Writing Skills – Teaching sentence structure, punctuation, and creative writing through fun activities. Multisensory Learning – Incorporating visuals, movement, and games to reinforce concepts. Positive Reinforcement – Building confidence through encouragement and progress tracking. A Typical Lesson Plan Warm-up Activity (5-10 min) – A short game, story, or discussion to engage students. Core Lesson (20-30 min) – Focus on a specific skill (e.g., reading comprehension, writing a short paragraph). Interactive Practice (15-20 min) – Hands-on exercises like word puzzles, role-playing, or creative storytelling. Wrap-up & Reflection (5-10 min) – Review key points and set goals for the next session. What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor Personalized Learning – I adapt lessons to each child’s strengths, interests, and learning style. Engaging Techniques – I make learning fun through interactive games, real-world applications, and storytelling. Patience & Encouragement – I create a positive learning environment where students feel confident and motivated. Strong Communication with Parents – I provide progress updates and tips for continued learning at home. Who My Lessons Are For Elementary School Students (Grades K-5) who need support in reading, writing, phonics, or grammar. ESL (English as a Second Language) Learners who want to build foundational language skills. Students Who Struggle with Confidence in Language Arts and need patient, engaging instruction. I aim to make language arts exciting, accessible, and confidence-boosting for young learners!
