About Vivi

Why learn with me?

I’m currently pursuing my postgraduate journey at Universiti Malaya (UM) ranked #1 in Malaysia and among the top, ranked #15 in whole Asia continent, and I hold a Bachelor of Applied Language Studies (Hons.) in English for Professional Communication from UiTM.

I completely understand that feeling because I’m a language learner too! Besides English, Malay and Bahasa Indonesia, I have been learning other languages myself, including Türkçe, ‏العربية (الحجازية), and French. I know what it feels like to sit in a lesson and think, “What if I say this wrong?”, “What if I don’t understand?”, or simply feel too nervous to speak.

That experience has taught me that every learner has their own pace. Some people learn quickly through conversation, while others need more time, repetition, visual materials, explanations, or practice before they feel comfortable. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

That’s why I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all teaching approach.

About the lesson

سلام and hi, everyone!

I’m Ms. Vivi, a passionate and approachable language tutor who enjoys helping learners become more confident, comfortable, and independent in using language.

My teaching approach is student-centered, practical, and personalized. I believe that learning a language should not feel intimidating; lessons should give you plenty of opportunities to practice, make mistakes, ask questions, and gradually build confidence.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to teach:

Standard 1–6 students – supporting Bahasa Melayu learning, comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and academic development.
International learners from different backgrounds – including students from the United States, Austria, the Middle East, India, Pakistan, and Mexico, with a focus on spoken Malay, everyday communication, and conversational confidence.
Teenage and adult learners – helping students improve their communication skills according to their individual goals, whether for daily conversations, study, work, or personal development.
