About Jill

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I’m Jill, a dedicated English tutor with 4 years of experience helping students achieve their goals, whether that means improving exam results, writing with clarity or speaking with greater confidence.

My approach is simple: every student learns differently, so every lesson is planned around you. I identify your strengths, address any gaps and set clear, achievable targets so that you can see your progress. You will receive regular, constructive feedback, and I am always happy to keep parents or guardians informed of progress where appropriate

About the lesson

I’m an English tutor who believes everyone learns best when they feel confident and supported. Every student is different, so I start with a short assessment to find out where you are, what you want to achieve and how you like to learn. From there, I build a plan around your goals, whether that’s a better exam grade, stronger writing or more confidence speaking.

How I teach

One-to-one lessons tailored to each student’s needs and pace
Clear explanations of grammar, vocabulary and text analysis, always followed by plenty of practice
Regular feedback on written work, with practical tips to improve
Exam technique and past-paper practice for students preparing for [GCSE / A level / IELTS]
Short homework tasks to reinforce learning, always optional and never overwhelming

Lesson length

Lessons last [60 minutes] by default. I’m happy to arrange shorter or longer sessions to suit you.
