About Eleanor

I started my teaching career as a dance teacher, but was quickly drawn towards working in schools and aiding in the academic careers of young people with additional learning needs when I spent time as a 1-1 partner teacher in a primary school, working with students who sometimes need a little extra help when placed in a mainstream school environment. This experience has led me to go back to university to study for my post-grad, and this time next year I will have my very own class of young learners! I have always received outstanding feedback during lesson observations, particularly during guided reading and literacy as English and literacy are a huge passion of mine - every child benefits from reading, and I love to encourage them! I have extensive experience working with students with additional learning needs, and am studying to be a qualified specialist in SENDI teaching; let’s communicate about the student’s needs and we can adjust accordingly to help them get the most out of our time together!

About the lesson

I work with students based on their individual needs, encouraging personal growth and growing their confidence when working independently. I can assist with test prep, homework, focusing on specific areas that require improvement, and any other individual learning needs they have.

I’ve known Ellie for several years through our work in education, and she has consistently shown herself to be reliable, patient, and deeply committed to her students’ success. Her teaching style is clear, adaptable, and encouraging, making even the most challenging topics feel approachable. Ellie is organised, punctual, and genuinely cares about building her students’ confidence. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and effective tutor.
