About Tryg

My name is Tristan Verran. I am a performance artist, poet and educator. I have worked professionally in the arts for many years. For the last 12 years I have worked in academic institutions in South East/ East Asia teaching courses in English Language, Literature and the Humanities. I have a first class honours degree in English Literature and Creative Writing and a Master's degree in Comparative Literature, which I gained with distinction. For the past two years, I have been researching a PhD thesis with Creative Practice at the University of Auckland in New Zealand. I have recently returned to the UK to complete my thesis with Plymouth University. I am genuinely passionate about language and literature. I always relish the opportunity to assist with fostering an appreciation of the aesthetics of the English language, as well as engaging in a critical analysis of written texts, produced in a variety of cultural contexts, in order to develop a robust response. I continue to read, write, perform, learn and participate in creative communities throughout the UK. I look forward to meeting you.

About the lesson

I have many years of experience teaching, tutoring and mentoring students for a variety of UK exams and certificates in English Literature and Language; including, (i)GCSE, A(S)-Level, IELTS, CAE, undergraduate and postgraduate modules. I am currently a tutor with the Institute of International Studies at Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok and a PhD candidate with Plymouth University. So whether English is your first language or not, I can help with any issues you might be facing with textual analysis and comprehension, in order to help you produce a good, clear piece of written work. I am friendly, approachable and professional in my approach and I am completely dedicated to help you improve your academic English skills. I look forward to cyber-meeting you!
