About Calvin

I am a friendly, patient and enthusiastic tutor who enjoys helping people learn, grow in confidence and achieve their potential. Through my experience working with children and young people, I have developed strong communication skills and an understanding that everyone learns differently.

I want to make learning English enjoyable, engaging and accessible, whether you are improving your reading, writing, grammar or comprehension, or preparing for 11+ and 16+ entrance exams. I am also passionate about film criticism and analysis, exploring storytelling, characters, themes and symbolism.

My aim is to create a relaxed, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas and learning from mistakes. I believe that building confidence is just as important as developing knowledge, and I want every student to feel proud of their progress.
