About Disha
I have given English Language training to girls at a collegiate level as part of a peer- help initiative.
The class consisted of 10-12 students who needed help in English language discourse and written communication.
The students became much better at reading the language and understanding the academic language in their textbooks. They were also scoring better and were able to formulate simple, small sentences.
I like to teach because I have always felt a satisfaction in explaining concepts and ideas to people. When it comes to teaching languages in particular, I understand that learning a tongue cannot be academic alone, it has to be taught by integrating the culture, history, modern lingo and nuances of it into the process.

The classes are for students who are not native speakers of English and would require help to speak and write the language with ease and confidence.
The lectures would be equally balanced between improvement on written and spoken skills. Specific areas such as business English, corporate communications, and accent reduction etc. are fields that can be delved into upon specification.
The idea of the class would be to not only learn the language but enjoy it with lots of references to pop culture, a lot of Ed Sheeran and watching The Notebook at least one!
