About Catherine
I am a passionate and enthusiastic English teacher who loves helping children discover the joy and power of words. I believe reading can open the door to incredible worlds, while writing gives children the chance to create worlds of their own. I bring energy, creativity and a love of drama to my teaching, making lessons engaging and memorable. Above all, I want every child to feel confident in English, discover books they love and realise that they are capable of far more than they might think.

I offer personalised, engaging English tutoring for children aged 5–11, with a particular focus on building confidence and strong foundations. Lessons are tailored to each child, using discussion, questioning, creative activities and targeted practice. As a specialist primary English teacher with extensive tutoring experience, I support children with a range of abilities and additional needs, including dyslexia, ADHD and autism. My aim is to make English enjoyable while helping children overcome barriers, develop secure skills and become confident, independent learners.
