About Noma

I am teacher Noma, a TEFL certified educator and Bachelor of Commerce in Statistics, with over 6 years of teaching experience. I am enthusiastic about teaching because teaching is the very foundation of transferring knowledge from one individual to another. Teaching gives me the opportunity to change the lives of people from diverse backgrounds. I am always excited to see and hear stories of how the knowledge and skills learnt have opened doors of opportunities for learners.

About the lesson

My lessons focus on English (with a specialty in Reading, Speaking, Writing, Listening, Grammar and Conversational English), Mathematics, and Math Literacy. My classroom caters to foundation, intermediate, and senior phase learners. In my classroom, I create a safe space through fun, interactive, engaging, and learner-centered teaching approaches. My lessons encourage learners to make mistakes without judgment and to embrace positive correction.

As a parent, I can confidently say that Noma is a trustworthy English tutor. Her expertise in the language and ability to adapt her teaching methods to fit my child's learning style have made a significant difference. Noma communicates complex concepts clearly and is incredibly patient and supportive, allowing my child to improve at their own pace. I've seen nothing but positive feedback from my child about her effectiveness and reliability. She maintains high ethical standards and genuinely cares about helping her students succeed, which has fostered a wonderful trust and rapport between them. I couldn’t be happier with the progress my child has made!
