About Monique
Hi, my name is Monique, and I am a 24-year-old teacher living in beautiful South Africa. I am also a musician, an avid reader, and a lover of history and learning about different cultures.
Teaching was perhaps the most unexpected passion I've acquired in my life. Teaching? Boring!
But after just a few months, I realized there is so much more to being a teacher than I thought. I get to make a real impact on others' lives, and I also get to learn more and more every day! Building a connection with my students has fulfilled me in a way I never expected, and hearing my students' feedback has both made me proud, and made me listen and want to do better.
I used to think teaching is boring, but now I'll never go back.

During my prior teaching job, I taught music and violin. Being a universal language, I learned how to use expressions and translations both creatively and effectively. After having 20+ students, I also learned how unique each student's learning style is, and have become skilled in adapting to each individual student's needs and learning styles. This is something I've become passionate about and expand this methodology to Teaching English. My lessons are exact, creative, adaptive, and calm, with a lot of focus on communication and based on student goals.
