About Joseph

I’m a lawyer with a law degree and an Honors BA in Psychology. Writing clearly and persuasively is what I do every day, and I love helping others build that skill. I’ll help you write with confidence, read more critically, and speak clearly, whatever your starting point.

About the lesson

How my lessons work
Every student starts with a short conversation about their goals, so we can build a plan that fits them. Lessons are practical and tailored to you. We work from your own assignments or writing; you get specific feedback you can use right away, and I’ll give you clear next steps after each session. My approach is patient, encouraging, and focused on real progress.

What I can help with
1. Essay writing: structure, thesis development, argument, and editing
2. Preparation for exams and standardized tests, including LSAT-style reading and writing skills
3. Application and personal statement support (university, law school, graduate programs)
4. Grammar, vocabulary, and sentence clarity
5. Reading comprehension and critical analysis
6. Professional writing: emails, cover letters, reports, and resumes
7. Conversational English and pronunciation for English learners

Why work with me
1. Legal training that sharpens argument, precision, and editing
2.. A psychology background that helps me understand how people learn
3. Experience writing and editing across professional settings
4. Flexible scheduling, online or in person in Toronto

Let’s get started
Send me a message to book a first lesson. Please tell me what you’re working on and what you’d like to improve, and we’ll take it from there.

Joseph is the real deal! My younger brother worked with him while studying for the LSAT and ended up with an amazing score. He’s super knowledgeable, down to earth, and has a great sense of humour. He makes learning feel a lot less stressful. Couldn’t have asked for a better tutor!
