About Lauren

I am currently completing my PGCE in which I will be qualified to teach English, Drama and Media Studies to A Level. I have both my BA and MA in English and so have excellent knowledge and understanding regarding my subject. I have experience with teaching primary KS3, GCSE and A Level in a classroom setting as well as a number of years of SEN experience as a classroom assistant. I have experience tutoring and so am confident in my ability to do so.

About the lesson

I aim to create a welcoming learning environment where students can reach full understanding of areas that they find difficult. I have previous experience of tutoring A Level and GCSE English in which learners developed their understanding and skills in preparation for exams. I have experience of teaching A Level English and Drama in a classroom setting as well as GCSE. I can also tutor a range for KS3 subjects including maths and science (Biology and Chemistry to A Level) as well as history. As I have experience in a primary school I am also equipped to tutor for the Transfer Test as well as in areas of difficulty for primary school learners.

I am confident in Lauren's reliability as a tutor, having spent ample time with her during our Master’s course. I admire her ability to balance the university workload and tutoring commitments. She generously offered to share learning strategies with me, such as ways to recall publishing dates, to alleviate the pressure of an upcoming presentation.

Throughout my dissertation, Lauren offered to peer-review my writing due to her meticulous grasp of grammar, syntax, and structure.

For these reasons, I am confident that Lauren is a trustworthy and dependable tutor.
