I am a student at the University of Leeds, where I am studying Chinese.
I am interested in tutoring mainly those of GCSE and primary level ages. This would be in English literature or English as a Foreign language.
I have some experience, as over the previous summer I taught English as a second language to a three year old in China. Tutoring style varies depending on the needs of the child, this could be through reading and word recognition or working through a textbook incorporating music and games. It is important that these tutoring lessons are made to be a fun as possible to be able to keep children's attention for the maximum time.
Whilst my experience for GCSE tutoring is minimal I received A* at English literature and A at English language. This tutoring style, whilst still trying to be not boring, would mainly compose of reading and understanding what the author of the book of poem is trying to say as well as essay practice.
Thank you for reading.
I have experience in au pairing for three months. In this time I was able to teach the young boy of three years how to properly pronounce the alphabet as well many vocabulary words. This was mainly done through reading and play.
