About Karishma
As a third-year Health Sciences student at the University of Ottawa and an aspiring medical student, I have been constantly growing my problem-solving and comprehension skills. I am able to apply what I learn inside the classroom to my personal life through volunteering and within my relationships. I also work part-time at Oxford Learning as a teacher and am passionate about watching students thrive in areas of their work in which they previously lacked confidence. I also love reading, cooking and travelling! I understand that life's challenges may be overwhelming and how they can reflect on academic performance. Together, we will work through work through concepts so you can be more confident in your schoolwork and have results reflective of that.

My teaching method will allow you to review your homework and assignments with me and together we will review what worked and what didn't work. From here, we will work together to understand why certain methods did not work and will aim to prevent making these errors again. Teaching methods include essay analysis, review of proper grammatical, formatting and literature expectations. By analyzing essays and different media pieces, the student will have an overall better understanding and confidence to approach their tasks in English.
