About Kayla

My journey, guided by a passion for teaching and integration, stems from personal experiences. Coming from Nigeria, I witnessed the challenges of integration firsthand, observing the struggles of my younger brother and mother. This inspired me to help others navigate similar transitions. I believe in the power of imagination and creativity, particularly in fostering learning and aspirations. Positive stimulation through creative writing has been integral to my personal growth, influencing how I communicate with employers, pursue leadership roles, and interact socially. As a Politics and IR student, I've realized the significant role these skills play in both academic and professional pursuits, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness. With me, you can expect a tutor dedicated to empowering students with tools for success, both academically and in life.

My tutoring approach prioritizes personalized attention, tailoring lessons to individual needs. I employ interactive techniques such as role-playing, storytelling, and creative writing exercises to foster engagement and confidence. With a focus on creating a comfortable environment, I encourage students to push themselves, constantly seeking to stretch their abilities. Drawing from my experience working with children in diverse settings, including a school charity program in rural Tanzania and reading in orphanages in Nigeria, I am adept at interacting with individuals with language barriers, ensuring inclusivity and effective communication.
