About Lester
I've been playing the drums for 18+ years and professionally for 10 years. I attended the Purcell School for Young Musicians and then went on to study Jazz drums at Guildhall School of Music and Drama where I graduated with a First Class Honours Degree. I was also awarded a prize for outstanding performance in my final recital. I have Jazz, Pop, Rock, Funk, R&B, Metal and Electronic music experience and have performed in some of the UK's top venues, including; The Royal Albert Hall, Ronnie Scotts, The Vortex Jazz Club, Hampstead Jazz Club, Pizza Express Soho as well as recording in Abbey Road Studios. I have also regularly performed in the London Jazz Festival in multiple ensembles.

My lessons
Each of my lessons is tailored to suit the goals of my students, which might include;
- Starting your drum journey as a complete beginner of any age
-Coming back to the drums after not playing for years
-Intermediate to advanced players wanting to take their playing to higher level.
-Preparation for various exam boards
-Playing for enjoyment and not wanting to take exams
My lessons have a strong focus on technical and fundamental skills, which are the foundation for a successful drummer.
