About Alex

I am currently studying music performance at the ACM in Guildford, I have just completed my foundation degree on drumming and am now moving forward into my first year degree.

I have attended the ACM for four years now and gathered enough information to start teaching others.

I specialise in Rock and metal drumming whilst I can perform a few other genres such as blues and pop.

About the lesson

My teaching method is taking the lessons slowly and making sure that the person is confident in what they’re doing, I will always encourage people to perform and make them as comfortable as possible. I will also go through notation and counting to make sure you know what you’re doing. I will start off with the basics to begin with.

I have been in situations where I do not feel comfortable to perform and would not wish it on anyone.

Alex is trustworthy because he always cares about and for others, he has the biggest heart going. He’s a going listener to whom always wants to help anyone as best he can. Alex is my cousin, he’s my family. I recommend Alex because he always try’s his hardest as well as his best, helping others is something he’s always been keen on since we were growing up. With Alex around you’ll always feel in a happy mood and have a positive attitude.

Alex would be a great tutor because of his friendly nature, his natural talent at drumming and eagerness to see people do well which is a fantastic combination for a student looking for a tutor. I’ve been in a band with Alex before and he has shown me that he can teach, learn and adapt to any challenge.

I have known Alex for over a year now. We are in the same band together, Alex is easy to get along with and patient in rehearsals. He would easily be able to pass on knowledge to students without intimidating or making them feel disheartened, and possesses a wide skill set.

Alex has great knowledge regarding rudiments, and can give amazing 1-1 lessons.

Perfect for beginners!
And he is lovely with the little ones too!

He has tutored me and I can now play in a few different time signatures which I wouldn’t have dreamt of before he taught me!

Brilliant!
