Techniques and Teaching Methodology: Customisation: I tailor lessons to each student's goals, abilities, and interests. Whether they're beginners or intermediate players, I adjust my approach to suit their needs. Fundamentals: Building a strong foundation is crucial. I emphasise basics like proper grip, technique, timing, and rudiments while incorporating musicality and expression. Interactive Learning: I combine theory with practical application, encouraging students to play along with tracks, improvisation, and learning songs they love. Progressive Challenges: As students advance, I introduce more complex rhythms, styles, and drumming concepts to expand their skill set. Typical Length of a Lesson: My lessons usually run for 60 minutes. However, I'm flexible based on the student's preference and learning pace. Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor: I've been teaching drums for several years, accumulating experience in catering to various skill levels and age groups. Holding a Grade 6 Certification from Rock School London in drums adds credibility to my teaching approach and ensures a structured understanding of drumming essentials. I've had the opportunity to work with students of different backgrounds, ages, and musical preferences, which has enriched my teaching style. Excellent! He was very calm and reassuring. Good feedback and teaching by example. He identified my individual level and experience and tailored the lesson accordingly.
